These Terms & Conditions explain how We Buy Silk Scarves (“we”, “us”, “our”) buys silk scarf collections.
We Buy Silk Scarves is a company registered in England and Wales.
By sending a collection to us or accepting an offer from us, you agree to these terms.
1. Our Service
We Buy Silk Scarves buys collections of silk scarves directly from private individuals and businesses.
You can tell us about your collection and send us photographs through our website. We will review the information provided and let you know if we would like to see your collection.
We are a specialist buyer and do not provide valuations or appraisal services.
We are under no obligation to make an offer or purchase a collection.
2. Sending Your Collection
If we would like to see your collection, we will provide free tracked Royal Mail postage.
You are responsible for packaging your scarves securely and using the postage label or QR code provided by us.
Your collection is protected against loss or damage in transit up to £250.
If you believe your collection may be worth more than £250, you must tell us before sending it so that we
can arrange additional protection.
3. Information About Your Collection
You should provide accurate information and photographs of your collection.
If the scarves received are materially different from the information or photographs provided, we may decide not to make an offer.
If we do not make an offer, we will return the collection to you free of charge.
4. Offers
We aim to contact you within three working days of receiving your collection.
If we would like to buy your scarves, we will make one offer for the collection as a whole. We will not make an offer for individual scarves.
There is no obligation to accept our offer.
If you decline our offer, we will return your collection to you free of charge using tracked Royal Mail postage.
Offers are valid for 7 days unless otherwise stated.
5. Accepting Our Offer
Once you accept our offer, you agree to sell the collection to us for the amount offered.
Ownership of the collection transfers to us once we have received your acceptance and made payment.
Once payment has been made, the sale is final.
6. Payment
Payment is made by bank transfer only.
We aim to make payment within one working day of you accepting our offer.
You are responsible for providing accurate bank account details.
7. Ownership and Authenticity
By sending scarves to us, you confirm that you own the scarves or have the legal right to sell them.
You must not knowingly send counterfeit goods.
We may decline to purchase a collection where we have concerns about authenticity or your right to sell the scarves. We may also report the circumstances of the rejected sale on that basis to the appropriate authorities
8. Loss or Damage
We will take reasonable care of your collection while it is in our possession.
Collections sent using postage arranged by us are protected against loss or damage in transit up to £250, unless we have agreed a higher level of protection with you before sending.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
9. Photographs and Information
We may use photographs and information submitted to us to review your collection and for internal business purposes.
We will not use your personal information for marketing without your consent.
